The St Finbar's Difference

One of the things we are most proud of at St Finbar’s is our community. We have a very active and supportive parent community, and there are lots of opportunities for families to be involved in school life.

Throughout the year, parents volunteer at sporting events, excursions and other school activities, and our parent community runs a range of events for both children and adults. These events are a great way for families to get to know each other and to feel connected to the school.

We also have many opportunities for our whole school community to come together. Our biennial school productions and Art Show are always highlights of the school year, and our annual Christmas Carols is a much-loved St Finbar’s tradition. These events give our students the opportunity to share their talents and achievements with their families and the wider community.

It is this sense of community that makes St Finbar’s such a special place to be.

Parents & Friends

Our Parents & Friends Association is a wonderful part of life at St Finbar’s. It brings families together through social events, fundraising and volunteering at sporting events. The P&F provides opportunities for parents and carers to meet one another, become involved in school life and contribute to making St Finbar’s a welcoming community. Each year level has Reps who are responsible for disseminating information to the wider year level. The P & F meets once a term.

School Advisory Council

Our School Advisory Council provides an important link between our school, families and the wider St Finbar’s community. Working in partnership with the Principal, Council members share their ideas, experience and perspectives to help support the ongoing growth and development of our school. It is a valuable opportunity for parents and community members to contribute to school life and help shape the future of St Finbar’s.
